Commercial Director

As Commercial Director you will report and work closely with the Managing Director overseeing the commercial department. Key responsibilities will be recruiting, leading and managing site teams on major projects across the North West from pre-contract through to project handover. Projects will be across a number of disciplines to include mixed use developments, commercial, retail, high rise residential, education and health-care.

Your wealth of commercial knowledge be tested to include value engineering, cost planning, risk management,  dispute resolution, tender planning and bid management and effecting win strategies.

You will will closely with clients providing them with cost effective solutions to their requirements, ensuring that you add value for them and the business.

Job Description

Our client is a highly successful family owned main contractor who are based out of Lancashire. They have extensive experience in the design and build of prestigious and complex projects across education, extra care, commercial and residential across the North West of England. Their specialist construction teams are adept at providing technical, expert and value engineering advice to their clients which means that all projects given to them are achievable at the right price, on time and to the standards of quality needed. They invest in their workforce as they believe they are the key to their success.

Experience & Skills Required

An experienced Commercial Director with a proven track record of winning new business, cost and risk management and leading site teams to successfully deliver keystone projects.

You will be hungry for success and be highly motivated with extensive knowledge of contracts and their implications. You will be degree educated with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
