As HR Director you will be key member of the executive board. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing the company’s culture by effective planning, designing and introducing human resources initiatives to support the business strategic goals. Day to day responsibilities will be to provide consultation to your HR team and management on a wide range of topics to include recruitment and selection, training and development, change and organisational development and performance management. You will manage and lead a team of HR professionals in providing a professional HR support service to the business. Other duties will include the implementation of policies and HR initiatives in line with organisational objectives, leading projects on talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, HR information systems (HRIS) and financial planning of the department. You will contribute to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning.

Experience & Skills Required

You will be a degree educated HR Director and ideally be a fellow member of the CIPD. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working in manufacturing. We are looking for a candidate who has excellent organisation and communication skills with strong commercial acumen. You will be a natural influencer who can demonstrate and lead on the values, initiatives and culture of the organisation. You will be a highly motivated, driven and focused HR professional who is passionate about HR but also somebody who can inspire teams of all levels across a wide range of HR disciplines.  It goes without saying that your employment law knowledge and application will be outstanding and you will be confident providing advice on how law is applied.
